Have you heard of MUN, but never had the chance to participate in one? Did you enjoy MUN in high school and want to do it at the college level as well? Or do you just want a fun evening while debating world problems?
MUNDUNSA has joined forces together with AiMUN to organize yet another MUN simulation open for all SIB members and AUC students! This time we will be discussing the topic of Piracy and Maritime crime in the Indian Ocean as delegates in United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.
You are welcome to join us on Thursday the 13th of February, starting at 17:30 at the Amsterdam University College building on Science park (exact room TBA).
During this short MUN session, you will be introduced to all the procedures, rules and the fun of participating in a MUN. We will be debating urgent global issues in our roles of delegates representing different states. Debate will be conducted in line with the Harvard MUN rules of procedures.
Signing up for this event is mandatory as there is only room for max 30 people. You can sign up via the ‘tickets’ link. We hope to see you there!
MUNDUNSA is the MUN and debate committee of SIB Amsterdam. We organize different activities around debating, MUN, public speaking, and negotiation. We consist of a MUN delegation that is visiting Hamburg and Tokyo to participate in MUN’s there. However, throughout the year we also organize activities for all of SIB and beyond.
