We are A.S.V. Gay, the Amsterdam student association for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer students! We have only been around since 2010, but in that short time we have grown to be an association of more than 270 members.

In short: Are you gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer or straight? Would you like to get to know Amsterdam more and get into contact with other LGBTQ+-students? Then quickly drop by on one of our drinks nights and discover how much fun it is to be a member of A.S.V. Gay!

Besides the weekly drinks nights, we also organise many activities. Our 15 committees are the backbone of our association. They bring everything they’ve got to organise our parties, trips, hockeyteam and our very own boat for the Canal Parade at the Amsterdam Pride! Besides all the social events, A.S.V. Gay also spends time on the position of LGBTQ+-students in Amsterdam. We organise different events every year to draw attention
to the position of LGBTQ+-persons in our society, both inside and outside of the association.

So you would like to become a member of A.S.V. Gay? Everyone between the ages of 16 and 30 who can identify with the student life can sign up for A.S.V. Gay. Most members of A.S.V. Gay study at an Amsterdam college, but you’re also welcome if you already finished your study or if you’re studying outside of Amsterdam. We are open to everyone: gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer and straight.
